The Chinese International Photography Competition is one of a series of international cultural arts contests sponsored by New Tang Dynasty Television. Its purpose is to increase the sharing of cultural arts globally among Chinese who love photography, to uphold traditional Chinese arts philosophy, to promote artistic works portraying intrinsic reality with implications of compassion, gracefulness, brightness and righteousness.

The Competition is now open for submissions. The deadline is Aug. 30, 2012. The procedures are as the following:

• Submission (Now - Aug. 30, 2012): The submission time will be based on post mark or Internet upload time.
• The panel of judges will post the nominated submissions for final on the competition website prior to Oct. 7, 2012. (Those nominated will be notified to send enlarged copies of their photos. The photos will not be returned and the competition organizers are not responsible for any loss or damage during the mailing.)
• All results will be posted on the competition website prior to Nov. 7, 2012.
• Photography Exhibition and Award Ceremony: All selected entries will be exhibited at the Calumet Photographic Gallery (22 W. 22nd Street, New York, U.S.A.) from November 4th to 25th, 2012. The winning photographers will be invited to attend the award ceremony.

Award Placement:
    - One Grand Award (US$5,000)
      The following awards for each category (News and Global Events, Society and Humanity, Nature and Landscapes) will be set.
    - One Gold Award: US$2,000;
    - Two Silver Awards: US$1,000;
    - Three Bronze Awards: US$500;
    - Ten Honorable Mentions awards: Certificate.

All selected entries will be awarded a certificate of participation.

All selected entries will be exhibited at a photography exhibition to be held in New York City, USA.
